All you need to know about Oyster Card

It is a credit card-sized transport card to be used to electronically pay on public transportation in London.

An Oyster card can be used on just about every form of transport within London including public bus, tram, and rail services within the city without buying individual tickets.

For the sake of saving your cost and convenience! It will make your travel cheaper than purchasing every time individual ticket. Check out my blog, how much I saved with it. It will save both your time and money.

And you will be amazed to know that these cards have a capping system, meaning the maximum amount to be charged on a daily basis is fixed for different zones and if you exceed that amount in one day, you will travel for the rest of the day for free. Remember, it is on a daily basis.

For e.g, you are traveling on 2nd July if the maximum limit of traveling charge from zone 1 to zone 2 is £ 6.40 and if you have already paid this let say till 11 am then if you will not charge more till 12 am. I hope you got it.

You can get it online. It is available for shipping worldwide. One can consider London Pass too, as it offers access to 80+ major attractions and museums of London,

It is an option available to you to add to your Oyster card, giving you free access to the majority of attractions. You need to add credit depending on the length of London pass you choose.
